Self Defensive Against Armed and Unarmed Aggressors

Course Objectives

1. Classes are for male and female from age 10 and older. Must be serious about training. All techniques deal with life or death situations. Develop high quality Self defense skills and a lasting desire to maintain them
2. Develop movement abilities ranging from functional life skills to those needed for successful participation in leisure activities
4. Develop a sense of self-worth and dignity
5. Develop social responsibilities and competencies
6. Develop safety awareness
7. Develop an appreciation and understanding or proper Self defense tactics

8. Remember, taking one self-defence call will not provide real confidence

Class Objectives

  • To understand the “Three A’s of Personal Safety (Awareness, Assessment, and Action)

  • To learn the format of a defensive tactics class and the terminology of defensive tactics techniques

  • To develop basic defensive tactics skills

  • To develop an appreciation of defensive tactics as a physical activity

  • To exhibit self-direction

  • To understand Use of Proper Force, Less Lethal vs. Lethal force

  • Cooperate with peers and staff

  • To demonstrate the ability to follow directions and the ability to lead positively

  • To demonstrate self-motivation towards skill development

  • To demonstrate proper skill techniques

  • To maintain / improve personal physical fitness

  • To improve muscle strength and flexibility, as well as agility
