The Defensive Tactics portion of our organization was adopted in 1990 in response from numerous law enforcement agencies to provide ancillary law enforcement specific training. Before that time, we provided top quality self-defense and martial arts programs to the general public. It was through these programs that law enforcement organizations became aware of the taught methods and requested our involvement to develop programs that would be effective for their working officers.

Since then, we have been designing programs specifically for law enforcement and other organizations while continuing to provide civilian self-defense programs. Many law enforcement officers have enjoyed the gained knowledge of our instruction. Affiliated members were with the:

     * FBI

     * CIA

     * Secret Service

     * Bexar County Texas Police Department

     * Dallas Police Department

     * Homeland Security Investigations, Dallas Texas

Grandmaster Rankin takes great pride to present training programs that are molded to the specific needs and requests of each person participating.

While GM Rankin’s prior give high rating for the quality and content of what is provided. Many students have asked “why this type of training is not taught elsewhere, especially in established training organizations and institutions”. We cannot answer for anyone but ourselves. GM Rankin does not teach “fossilized” training programs that have little, or no changes over the years. His programs are updated on a regular basis. He constantly searches for safer, more effective, and easier to apply skills, methods, and tactics.
